30 Days of Hot Mat Pilates 🔥

I genuinely hit a breaking point this year. My mental health and physical health both felt like they were sliding, and no matter what I tried, I just wasn’t showing up for myself the way I wanted to. I would start something for a week or two and then fizzle out. I felt like I had no self-control or willpower and that was really frustrating, especially because I care so much about leveling up and being the best version of myself.
So I made a challenge: 30 days straight of hot mat Pilates before the end of the year. And with every fiber of my being, I committed to it.
(Scroll if you want some amazing Hot Mat Pilates class reccomendation you can go to in Orange County!).
Here’s what happened.

🔥 My Results (Physically)
About 3–4 weeks in, everything started to change
I felt so strong and I looked so strong.
My legs looked more toned, my muscles actually showed up, and my body started losing that swollen feeling I used to have. Inflammation definitely went down, and I was honestly shocked at how different I looked and felt.
I think hot Pilates works both your muscles and your core in a way that makes your entire body work as a cohesive unit, and that translated into serious physical changes for me.
🧠 My Results (Mentally)
I’ve always struggled with focus since I have ADHD, and routines do something magical for me. When I commit to a consistent routine like this, it anchors my mental health. It gives me something I can show up for every single day.
But beyond routine, hot Pilates helped me mentally because:
✨ Phones are away
✨ You have to focus on movement
✨ You can’t multitask
✨ You have to be present
Honestly, it’s one of the only workouts where my brain just shuts off and all I do is follow the instructor, breathe, move, and be in the moment. And I noticed that after class, my focus for the rest of the day was better. I showed up differently. I made decisions with more clarity, and I felt like I set a standard for my whole day by showing up first thing.
Also, hello endorphins!
Working out releases chemicals in your brain that make you feel good and that boosts your mood too.
And when you start to look better, you also feel better. Confidence skyrockets when you feel like your body matches your mind.
🧴 The Emotional Part
It wasn’t always easy. Weeks 1 and 2 were dusty. I wanted results immediately and that’s just not how bodies work. You have to be patient. But once I started feeling the strength, it became fun to show up. Now I can hold a plank for a minute, and I can do moves I never thought I would. And that’s addictive in the best way.
Hot Pilates taught me something:
Showing up matters more than perfection.
🌴 My Favorite Hot Mat Pilates Studios in Orange County
Okay, because so many of you asked, here are my top recommendations for hot mat Pilates in Newport Beach — all of which are highly rated, fun, and worth trying:
🔥 1. Drenched OC
Absolute favorite. Most supportive, loving community, with great instructors, and the heat is HOT. You leave feeling sweaty, accomplished, strong, and empowered.
💫 2. Forte by Coeur (Newport Beach)
The most beautiful studio & they offer 2 weeks Intro pass of unlimited heated mat pilates for $59!
🧘♀️ 3. Sol Studio (Newport Beach)
Such a dreamy studio with a focus only in mat pilates, with two locations in Corona Del Mar and Costa Mesa. Book quick because classes fill up quick!
This one feels like a fitness community. You can find a corepower anywhere. My first introduction to hot mat pilates was taking a YogaSculpt class at Corepower, and it got me addicted.
High-energy classes with a mix of hot mat pilates, dance, and routine. Simply search up a class on tik tok and it genuinely is like Disneyland for an adult. The energy is so high, the intructors are incredible, you will laugh and sing and smile all while sweating. This ones good for the soul.
🧠 Why Hot Pilates Works (Science + Feelings)
Here’s what I found that backs up why it felt so good:
Inflammation & Hot Pilates:
There are studies showing that moderate heat + movement helps increase circulation, oxygenate muscles, and may help reduce inflammation in joints and soft tissue. That’s part of why you may feel less swollen and tighter after several weeks of consistent hot workouts.
Mental Clarity & Routine:
Working out regularly is linked to improved ADHD symptoms, better focus, and increased dopamine levels — that’s why your brain feels lighter and clearer after consistent exercise.
You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to show up.
💗 Final Thoughts
I’m continuing hot mat Pilates because it changed my life. It gave me confidence, strength, patience, a sense of discipline, and a real bond with myself. The power of showing up for you is something no one can take away.
If you’re thinking about trying 30 days of anything, not just Pilates, but something that moves your body and your mind.
Remember:
💪 Your body deserves care
🧠 Your mind deserves rest
✨ You deserve routines that nourish you
xoxo, B.💋✨
